Exploring Big Data

Overview

This course provides an overview of big data. Through case studies, participants will be exposed to the concepts of Data-Driven-Decision (D3) making and Big Data Analytics, as well as the lifecycle and tools used in a data project. Key elements in managing large scale of data such as data storage and management, data analysis and visualization will be presented in a clear and easy-to-follow manner. Through theory and demonstration, the participants will gain familiarity with the basic terminologies, concepts, and understand various analytical tools used in data projects.
